It’s one of those things that’s perennially on our to-do lists. If we haven’t done it, it’s like a shadow at the back of the mind, forever troubling us. We should do it. We must do it. Why haven’t we done it yet? On and on it goes, until the only thing for it is just to take charge and get on with it. First aid. How many of us have learned it? And how many of us are forever intending to learn it, but never quite getting there. We know that one day we could, perish the thought, be at the scene of an accident, quite helpless. Or we could be in the company of a beloved friend or relation who suddenly collapses and needs help. Tending to our own health is one thing. We can book gay massage from Tantric Soul and enjoy the deep, peaceful relaxation and transcendent pleasure it brings. But tending to someone else’s health requires more forethought and knowledge. First aid is a great starting point and signing up to learn it is no difficult thing. Courses are abundant and inexpensive. You can find information all over the internet, for example on the British Red Cross website.

Help save a life

And once you’ve learned it (or, if it’s been a while, gone on a refresher course), you’ll discover that it can be applied anywhere and everywhere. It’s a tremendous asset. No matter your location – the gym, the supermarket, public transport, on a walking or cycling holiday, or simply at home – your skills could save lives. You could make a vital difference.

First Aid doesn’t bore

And if the fear of boredom is putting you off, rest assured – learning first aid can be uplifting and fun. Yes, some courses boil down to dreary presentations on a screen, in a strip-lit room. But other courses make it involving and immersive and you’ll easily be able to weed out the bad ones when you do some research. Many of the available first aid courses are interactive and entertaining. You’ll role-play things like dealing with blood loss or helping someone potentially going into hypothermia.

Learn a skill

And as your skills and understanding grow, you’ll develop confidence. The great thing is that confidence developed in one area almost inevitably boosts your overall confidence, so you’ll feel stronger and more empowered in all aspects of your life. Knowing that you can act quickly in an emergency is an immensely reassuring feeling. First aid will teach you how to check that someone is alive and responsive, and how to use the defibrillators that are kept in public areas like underground stations. You’ll be going through life a potential hero.

So perhaps the next time you’re enjoying gay massage London and considering the new pathways your life could travel, you’ll decide that the time is finally right either to learn or to brush up on first aid. It’s well worth checking whether your place of work will sponsor you to do a course – many of them do.

Eight hours is always said to be the optimal amount of sleep; something we should all be aiming for. And while many of us get by on seven, sometimes even that isn’t possible. We’ve looked at some of the sneaky ways we can self-harm without anyone necessarily noticing. After all, self-harm is not just about extreme activities like ‘cutting’ or self-starvation. As the hot weather continues, albeit with intermissions of shower and cloud predicted here and there, there’s one thing it’s easy to lose sight of.
