As we walk around the city, perhaps on our way to work or heading home at the other end of the day, we’ll often see a figure here and there, shuffling pitifully, bent double, armed with a walking stick. Frailty. It can shock us. ‘Will this happen to me?’ we might wonder, and not without good reason. No one wants to envisage an old age full of pain, weakness, fragility and a slow, awkward gait. Gay massage can certainly condition the muscles and keep us feeling limber and relaxed, but more needs to be done to ensure we don’t suffer years on. New research has indicated one of the potential causes of frailty, leading to the possibility that there are definitely ways to protect ourselves against it. Of course, we know that regular exercise and a sensible diet can do wonders. But a new American study has found a link between chronic inflammation in middle age and frailty later on, while a British one has confirmed a link between heart health in middle age and frailty in old age.

Gay massage can always help

The first study involved 6000 Americans, closely examining their health from mid-twenties through to middle age and then on to old age. Johns Hopkins Medicine Investigators helmed the study, the findings of which have been published in the Journal of Gerontology (gerontology being the study of elderliness). At the same time, the University Of Exeter were looking into similar matters. Two key discoveries were made. The Exeter study, published in the same journal, revealed that low heart disease means you’ll enjoy minimal fragility in later life, while the Johns Hopkins study indicated that low inflammation in middle age will mean the same. What this adds up to is solid proof that we can take certain health measures in order to reduce the likelihood that our old age will be full of Zimmer frames and walking sticks. No one wants to end up using a stair-lift or some sort of winch-like contraption to get into the bath.

Studies and a link for betterment at Tantric Soul

For the UK study, data from 420,000 people was look at with forensic precision, paying special attention to six key ways that the human heart can be damaged, including blood pressure, glucose/cholesterol impacts, weight, insufficient exercise and smoking. Meanwhile, they linked up with medical research teams from Connecticut, USA and the National Institute On Aging. It because patently clear that people with well looked after cardiovascular health were much more mobile and pain-free in old age.

The Johns Hopkins research looked at five markers of inflammation, including the number of white blood cells in the bloodstream. The end result was that participants with more cardiovascular and inflammation health risk elements (e.g. elevated body mass index, high blood pressure, poor cholesterol levels, coronary heart disease) were more likely to be frail or pre-frail later on in life. Even when results were adjusted to take into account aspects like age, gender and education, the results were still striking.
