A toilet seat. You wouldn’t rub your face on it, hold it to your ear, touch it and then not wash your hands or, under any circumstances, lick it, would you? After all, what could harbour more germs? Well, in fact, quite a few things could. A whole host of everyday items accumulate dirt and bacteria and yet we rarely think of them as dirty as we go about our day. When sought via a reputable agency, a gay tantric massage guarantees you a scrupulous standard of hygiene. There’ll be a clean table or bed and an opportunity to shower, too. But let’s take a closer look at some of the items that we breezily handle every day without so much as a single thought as to the dirt that might have collected on them. The sensual experience may come with absolutely unimpeachable standards of cleanliness, but the devices and fixtures in our home may well not.

Smartphones

Perhaps it’s no surprise that our precious phones come high up on the list for dirt-collecting. Recent surveys indicate that over 70 per cent of people use them while on the toilet. And because we tend not to clean them, our phones can end up accumulating ten times the bacteria normally found on a toilet seat. Even seriously nasty bacteria like staphylococcus. And we hold these devices up to our mouths and our ears, meaning all sorts of unpleasant consequences, including ear infections. It’s time to get serious about disinfecting our phones.

Filters

We can go years without look at the filters in both washing machines and fridges, where huge amounts of germs can start to pile up. These filters are meant to hold debris and dirt, but they’re designed to be cleaned, at least from time to time. However, we forget about them or tell ourselves that we’ll deal with them tomorrow. Let’s deal with them today, instead.

Ovens

Everyone knows that it’s good to clean our ovens, especially if we use them a lot. But what tends to be forgotten are the sides of the oven. If our ovens are built in, then there are no sides to worry about, but if they’re free-standing then we need to pull them out of their space from time to time and clean the sides where food spillages will have slipped down over the years.

Mops

We may be perfectly conscientious about running a mop over the floor each week, but if we’re not cleaning that mop, then all we’re doing is spreading germs around and actually making things worse. Bacteria love to gather in the strands of a mop, multiplying all the while. It’s vital that we thoroughly clean and disinfect our mops prior to using them, so that we’re not simply assisting the spread of germs throughout our kitchens and bathrooms. And ideally, it’s best not to leave floors wet, which assists the build-up of bacteria. Better, for our own health and safety, to clean the floor and then dry it, so that we’re not providing germs with the ideal conditions for reproduction.
