What’s your sleep like? It can’t have escaped any of us that one of the most important components of good health, both mental and physical, is good sleep. If your slumber’s interrupted or too light or you simply don’t put in enough hours, you’ll suffer in a variety of ways. It’s so hard to feel on top of things when your body’s crying out for rest and your over-taxed mind hasn’t had enough zzzzz-s. Now research indicates that the precise time that we got to bed and wake up is as an important aspect of our sleep as the number of hours we get. If you’ve tried gay massage, then you’ll already know that this relaxing treatment will, among a whole host of benefits, actually help you sleep better, making it easier to zone out and nod off. Now, however, experts at the Nuffield Department Of Clinical Neuroscience at the University of Oxford, have made some new discoveries, and we’d all do well to pay attention to them.
Their research shows that the best strategy for quality sleep is not to worry unduly about the notion that there is one specific time that suits all of us. Professor Colin Epsie, the country’s pre-eminent expert on the matter, advises that most of us are halfway between night-owls and early birds, but that some people are on one end of the spectrum or the other. The important thing which he stresses is that if you’ve found a bedtime and wake-time that suits you, make a habit of it. Wherever possible, stick to that bedtime, that amount of hours and that waking-up time. What most of us need is a sleep routine. If you find, one day, that you wake up feeling particularly refreshed, then make a note right there and then of the time you went to bed, the number of hours you achieved and the time you woke. Then repeat it. You should find that you’re able to discover your sleeping sweet-spot soon enough.
The researchers also advise that insufficient sleep and/or low-quality sleep can and will affect your day-to-day life. Everything from your mood to your productively will be impacted by the way you sleep. Your ability to make decisions and to think quickly will be affected, too. So don’t forget to get in a deluxe gay massage appointment to make sure you’re not going to bed with a whole host of unwanted thoughts bouncing around your brain, stopping you get off. Focus on that strategy of finding your own personal sleep routine like the guys from our gallery, the one that most suits you and leaves you feeling refreshed, and then do it again and again.
